Using our new DRILITE® 12D fabric the men's and women's Micron Jackets are the lightest and most packable waterproof shells in our range.  With benchmark 20,000mm hydrostatic head performance and high levels of breathability it provides reliable protection in a minimalist design.

DRILITE® 12D fabric is engineered with a 50D reinforced weave for improved durability and abrasion resistance that will be appreciated by mountain runners, adventure racers and climbers looking for unstinting lightweight performance on the most exposed terrain.  With these users in mind the Micron has our newly developed Active fit with articulated and pre-shaped sleeves.  Our slimmest and most streamlined fit to date, it ensures there’s no excess fabric to hold you back whilst remaining completely unrestrictive for even the fastest moving mountain activities.

As you’d expect from a Mountain Equipment shell, even at this low weight, the Micron uses our proven and fully adjustable Mountain Hood.  Highly protective even in strong winds and driving rain it ensures that you can keep operating effectively when caught out in hostile conditions far above the valley floor.

Laser cut underarm vents with bonded protective overlays help to regulate temperature on the move without adding any extra weight or bulk.  Low profile, carefully shaped cuffs give protection even for long reaches as well as having the option of thumb loops when running through the
most severe weather.

The Micron Jacket represents the ideal solution for those needing highly functional but lightweight waterproof protection for high speed mountain pursuits.
