The new Scarpa Rebel Ice is here. A new addition to the Rebel family of boots, the Rebel Ice has been designed for competition ice, hard mixed and dry tooling, so there are no compromises or concessions in the technologies or materials that have been used to construct the lightest and most precise winter climbing boot available.
The Rebel Ice boasts technologies like the Ankle Free System and Scarpa Sock-Fit Plus to keep ankle mobility and comfort levels to a maximum. Its innovative Boa closure system allows you to maintain a constant and highly adjustable fit throughout the longest of steep routes. The system provides a really precise fit with each click of a turn equating to a millimeter in change of fit.
Its carbon base plate has a rubberised heel that is useful for heel hooking rock but the crampon insert also transmits a huge amount of sensitivity to the climber from any point of contact.
Already a favourite with Scarpa athletes, the new Rebel Ice is compatible with several crampons available on the market without modification, our recommendation would be the Grivel Racing model due to its strength and quality of steel.
