ARC’TERYX, the technical leader in outdoor performance apparel and equipment, has opened the doors to its first European flagship store on Piccadilly in London St. James.

The 4,000 sq foot store at 212 Piccadilly is set over two floors, providing the perfect backdrop to showcase a comprehensive range of Arc’teryx products including high performance outdoor clothing, as well as snow sports apparel, footwear, harnesses and packs.

Fans of the 'Bird' will also be able to experience the Arc’teryx pillars of design, craftsmanship and performance through interactive display and technology areas throughout the store. A Community zone, run in association with the BMG, will provide a space for alpinists to plan trips; study maps and record their latest adventures

Adam David Ketcheson, VP/ Senior Director Marketing at Arc’teryx said: “London has an active community who deal with the challenges of inclement weather. It’s also a hub of fashion and design, and the minimalist aesthetic of Arc’teryx fits perfectly into the London environment and the UK outdoor community at large. In Piccadilly, our customer will be able to experience our commitment to design, craftsmanship and performance through our product, technologies and people."

On 5-6th September, Arc’teryx is running a Grand Opening Weekend with giveaways, fresh juice bar, and Gore-Tex demos. A team of Arc’teryx sewers will be making exclusive hand-sewn Gore-Tex lunch bags for people to take away.

Fancy winning an all expenses paid trip to Whistler, BC and two Arc’teryx outfits?

Between 10-11am on 5th September, Arc’teryx is running the Deep Winter Instagram contest. Simply go to Arc’teryx Piccadilly, take a selfie & post to Instagram – the winner will be announced at midday and must be available in the store to claim the prize immediately.

That's true, it can get quite hot on the Tube. And one time in Selfridges, the aircon was on so high I had to put on a hat.
