Part Time Duty Manager
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota, to include weekdays, evenings & weekends
Weekly Hours: Dependant on application

Responsibilities:


  • All aspects of Centre operations during shift.
  • Instruction & reception based tasks.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, cleanliness and customer service.
  • Management of teams of instructors and reception staff during shift.
  • Customer satisfaction, including managing any issues which arise on shift.


We are looking for individuals who have either had previous experience managing a team of people or have an extensive understanding of the workings of an indoor climbing facility.


Full Time Duty Manager / Course Administration Assistant
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota, to include weekdays, evenings & weekends
Weekly Hours: 40hrs
Salary: Dependant on applicant

Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of Centre operations during shift.
  • Instruction & reception based tasks.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, cleanliness and customer service.
  • Management of teams of instructors and reception staff during shift.
  • Customer satisfaction, including managing any issues which arise on shift.
  • Assistant Course Director of NICAS
  • Co-ordinator of our Academy programme


We are looking for individuals who have either had previous experience managing a team of people or have an extensive understanding of the workings of an indoor climbing facility. Candidates must have a good thorough understanding and have delivered the NICAS & NIBAS syllabus.


Full Time Duty Manager / Setting & Events Co-ordinator
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota, to include Weekdays, Evenings & Weekends
Weekly Hours: 40hrs
Salary: Dependant on applicant

Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of Centre operations during shift.
  • Instruction & reception based tasks.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, cleanliness and customer service.
  • Management of teams of instructors and reception staff during shift.
  • Customer satisfaction, including managing any issues which arise on shift.
  • Act as Head Route-Setter
  • Assisting Centre Manager routesetting administration.
  • Assisting Centre Manager in planning and running of internal events (including climbing and bouldering competitions, open days and anniversaries)


We are looking for individuals who have a wealth of climbing, route-setting, event-planning and co-ordination experience. With responsibility for organising internal and external route-setting contractors, this role will be split between general Duty Manager duties, route-setting and planning & orchestrating the Reading Climbing Centre route-setting planner. This will also involve assisting the Centre Manager in costing and ordering holds & volumes.

Experience and Qualifications
In these positions you will be responsible for opening and closing the centre, as well as ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility. This will include keeping the centre clean and tidy, upholding all Climbing Centre Group health and safety policies, cashing up, managing staff, dealing with customers, and promoting a good atmosphere throughout the centre.

The successful applicant will be a self-motivated team leader who will ideally have the following attributes:


  • Proven track record of team management or team based work
  • A comprehensive understanding of health and safety protocols within indoor climbing environments
  • Experience in Climbing Instructing or Setting (Climbing Wall Award, Single Pitch Award or Route Setting Association Award desirable)


These roles are to commence in March 2016, and would be with a rolling shift pattern to include; weekdays, evenings and weekends. It offers both competitive pay and generous benefits, with the opportunity to work for one of the largest climbing centre operators in the UK.
