Registration for the Big Flash 16 Bouldering Competition (Norwich) Now Open. £4k+ prize pool!

The biggest event in the Highball calendar is less than 6 weeks away! Will the 2015 Flash Championship Winners (Nathan Phillips and Alexia Basch ) defend their titles or, will Dave Barrans and Diane Merrick finally get to stand on the top step?

Most importantly, will Sam Lawson and Rachel Hipkin make this year’s final and represent the Highball Community….. the wait will soon be over.

The Big Flash 2016 takes place over the weekend of 14th to 16th October and, will no doubt, be bigger and better than ever!

The Big Flash is the only climbing festival in the East of England. It’s based around The Flash Championship – one of the biggest bouldering competitions in the UK – and every year, some of the UK’s top male and female climbers make the trip over to the unlikely climbing destination of Norfolk, to compete on the Huge DMM Competition wall alongside Norfolk’s climbing community.

As usual we’ll be running a very special NuKids Event on the Friday, followed by The Flash Championship Qualifiers on the Saturday, and the Semis and Grand Final on the Sunday.

Entry to the centre is FREE all weekend as we’ll be raising money for two great causes, Climbers Against Cancer and The East Anglian Air Ambulance. All you need to is donate appropriate (lots) of monies in our buckets and get climbing! This year, with your support, we’re hoping to smash through the £4k barrier.

We’re extremely thankful to our main event partners, DMM, Tenaya, RAB and Beta Climbing Designs for supporting The Big Flash 2016. Without them we simply could not afford to put on an event of this scale…
