Did Adam pay the £44 for 50% of the gear left on the abseil? That route will be a gold mine in spring!

Yeah, he did. It wasn't just gear left in the abseil, some gear also got stuck or lost. When you consider that a Warthog costs £20 and a nut costs a tenner it doesn't take much for it to mount up. We'd done all the hard climbing and could've waded to the top, but Adam really wasn't keen.
