The bands of colour from the seasonal tide-marks revealed in a very dry Dali's Hole.
Not really climbing related - but its very rare to see Dale's Hole this dry, and my love of the quarries is undiminished

Maybe few peopel are used to hearing 'palate' used in the context of the area for mixing colours (or a source of colours)????
