This is a painting I've just completed. Not sure if it'll be accepted or if it's suitable.

This is great. If you hadn't said it was a painting I wouldn't have known.

Stunning detail, superb. Named my son after this hill
(omitted the "Sgurr"!)

Stunning shot Jamie, beautiful colours and light.

It's lovely, Jamie. Is is possible to see a full size version somewhere? And it would be interesting to know how you go about creating the image, how big is it, is the image projected onto the board etc., etc.,?

Thanks peeps. Dave, the original is 62cm x 33cm, I used photos, sketches and a bit of artistic licence to compose the image. I'm exhibiting at the Kendal Festival this November, and this will be there along with many other paintings of the Scottish mountains.
wee jamie - 19/Sep/10
I'll try and make it there
David Dear - 19/Sep/10
Gobsmackingly beautiful. I really thought it was a photo. I will definately check this out when I visit Kendal in November.
Sean Kelly - 20/Sep/10
I think this is your best to date (that I've seen). It even beats the painting of the Buachaille outside reception at the Clachaig that I see every day! Brilliant.

Is this a painting? I thought the competition said it had to be a photo? oh well, my bad.
claudman - 23/Sep/10
Hi Claudman, I assume Allcord will discount my entry, but thought i'd post it up anyway - I can see it making a good logo background
wee jamie - 23/Sep/10
Love the vapour effect above the ridge at bottom left.

Hey Jamie, it is awesome, you have some amazing talent! its an incredible painting! but i was purely commenting on the basis of what i thought the conditions were of the entry, not any thing bout you (just thought i would make that clear to people that think im being a 'hater')
claudman - 24/Sep/10
Thanks for your vote ;)
