Looks like good value for VS! One of those photos that makes you want to go there and get on the route.

For real drama, the climber should be closer to those waves!

What a superb powerful shot this is!

Nice shot mate, drama! But do you have any with the climber just a bit lower in the frame? Or with less of a crop(if cropped at the top) cheers

Beautiful. I had a double take, when I saw the thumbnail it looked like snow and I was expecting it to be Chamonix!

This has to be one of the best pictures on here ever, stunning.

Brilliant capture. I've got to get to Lundy soon.

Thanks for your comments - I very much appreciate it - and delighted to get pic of the week! As often happens with photography the shot was a combination of judgement and good luck. I happened to be there at the right time and waited for a decent wave to come in. The fact that the climber seems to be looking down at the water contributes to it I think and is just luck.

Wow, Excellent shot! Its an ace route but I wouldn't have wanted to be down at the start when that wave came in!

Great pic but I agree with Sean(s) that the aspect ration doesn't wuite work. With the climber being located at the far extreme of the image, the eye is drawn away rather than to the action.

In fact, the more I look at it, the more I appreciate it. I actually think the climber's position works perfectly - no cliched thirds - and the fact you don't notice him to start with is great. His downward glance is perfect - he's thankful he's escaped the maelstrom!
