Walkers: Wild Man

Met this guy while we were walking the John Muir Trail, jogging toward us. He had started out on the Mexican border and was intending to walk all the PCT, but then continue all the way to Alaska. What you see was how he was... Dressed in deer skins and carrying a leather pack. He had a fishing rod and managed to feed himself with that. He looked in better shape than I did, certainly. We asked how long it was going to take him to get to Alaska and he said about a year!

The Americans can certainly give brits a run for their money on eccentricity. What a great ambition. Although I wonder how he'll do winter? A little bit "Into the Wild"...

I was thinking I'd like to hike the JMT one day but not sure I've got enough skins!
