The "easy" pitch of this under graded route in the Engelhörner. A magnificent climb in a beautiful situation.
The Wetterhorn is just visible in the background

Stunning shot, the banks of cloud help give this a dreamlike air (as does the saturated colour - which works).

Sorry Mike but something has gone wrong with the processing of the sky. Is this HDR or have you overshopped the sky? It looks too green. I am sure it can be fixed.

Thanks for the comments and thanks Sean, I thought the climbing was technically difficult, but it was nothing compared to the photography!
1) First the choice of whether to carry the cheap compact or the heavy SLR and Lens. It was 15 hard pitches, so the compact won.
2) It is a stitch of two photos. I tried to capture the mood of the place by including Rosenlauistock where the sun is just out of view at the top left. Trying to balance that was as hard as the crux slab, especially since it came out green on the original.
Any advice much appreciated, feedback always welcome.

If you have some editing software Mike (PS is best), clean up the central portion of the sky with a either a blur or clone tool and you can also use a clone tool to sneak in some blue sky into that corner. I must admit that the rest of the image is superb. Use a lasso, select the area for improvement, feather about 75-100pxs so that you only work in the part to be improved. Have a look at my PS article on this site. This section should explain how:
Retouching and repairing the image (using the Healing & Clone tools). At the end of the day the images from some cameras are very limited in terms of quality. I always climb with my Nikon SLR. It get a hammering but I get the pics! I 'm sure you can sort it out. Hope this helps.

Just trying to figure this out. Top left - Wetterhorn. Top center - Grosse Scheidegg and Männlichen beyond?

What a spot. Have a 5 from me too! Looks a bit HDR-ey to me, have you brought the shadow levels up on the left? Some of the cloud tops are a bit yellow, so if you've got PS you could select them and de-saturate. Careful not to touch the sky though. Top left I'd probably select the sky and adjust hue to match the blue better. The dark sky centre top is probably caused by vignetting, if you've stitched 2 together 0 you should be able to even that out a bit. All that said, it still makes me want to be there, and that's the real test!
