Very cool! Shame he's not on lead but still a great situation.

GBH photo? :P

does anybody know the name of this route?
lumu_tit - 04/Dec/11
It is indeed the GBH photo Natalie.
lumi_tit (?) I'm afraid I can't help but the route is on a pokey bit of rock with a bivvy hut sat on top of it five minutes from the Abri Simond hut. Someone told me it was 7a but I may be misremembering.

The crack line to the right is the 7a although I think you have to abseil into it now as the snow line is too low. The big crack line to the left starting in the corner is significantly harder but have no clue of its name or grade.

The crack line to the right also features in Rebuffat's classic book "On Snow and Rock": he's pegging up it.
