Great shot. The rope around the leg is making me nervous...

Nice 'action' shot. What is the current consensus on the use of the extra rope on this? Do people think it helps avoid a Jean-minh Trin-Thieu fall, or is it more hassle than its worth?

in this case it was more hassle than it was worth. the rope got in the way and as george was preoccupied with that he got in a tangle with the main one...as seen in the picture. i think it'd help to reduce the impact on the lower part of the arete if it was used properly....but we had a bouldering pad there too for justin....
