You can also get to the Gaskins Rock area by a scramble down a track in the words above the Carey Arms. Take the Babbacombe beach path from Walls Hill and follow the steps down to a road that leads through the woods. Turn right here and follow tracks through trees - one drops down to the right and is a muddy slope. The second veers left (close to a largish drop), but can be scrambled down, rather than slid.
