I took several photo's of Nick on this ascent, unfortunately this is the only one I have found at the moment...watch this space!

Look at that nice lovely grass beneath the left end, it's all overgrown boggy crap now, how I wish I could've been climbing back then, everything looks so cleaner and more appealing!

At what height did Desperate Dan move to the break on Stargazer? I presume with hands in the crimpy rail 1 ft below the break and about 1ft above Nick's right hand. Never really considered it before but it's a fair old span from there to the crimps isn't it?

Hi Dave, Desperate Dan climbs from the bottom left corner of the photo, then follows the green stain into the middle of the wall before going straight up [using a small crimp on that rail], to the good pocket on Stargazer. Finishing direct. My Direct Start climbs the middle of the wall to the same pocket.
To answer your question...Yes, there are two or three very long reaches on very small holds as I remember!
