Taken two nights ago on the 100 year anniversary of Britain joining the First World War. It was a half moon, so not ideal shooting conditions but the milky way was still clearly visible. I've not been to the Lakes much but I highly recommend Tarn Hows at night when it's quiet, beautiful spot.

Thanks guys. Shame the quality is terrible on UKC for some reason, must be in the re-sizing process. It's better viewed at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/104635722@N04/14843513944/in/photostream/lightbox/

Great shot. Having the Tarn so still and capturing the reflections clearly really adds that extra special quality.
Could I ask what lens, aperture and exposure time?

Thanks very much. It was taken with the Nikon 14-24mm at 2.8, 30 second exposure, ISO2000. Stitch of 4 photos.

Can't decide if I like it or not, I must say it's stunning and it's a 5 from me for the effort you've put into it.

Is that a dog humping another dog in the background...?

Nothing like a bit of artistic appraisal Sean :P . But yes, I see what you mean!

Another stunner James. Looking at this, the move to Nikon will have its rewards.
