Which way did you descend off the back? I went to the right of the obvious lump below the col and then back left a little before exiting into the valley via a steep and exposed traverse into a nice long gully.

On this occasion I think I kept to the left for as far as possible. I've done it several times, and have gone a few different ways. It can hold fantastic snow even a week after the last fall.
