Loverly. Is it your camera?

No, its the Bridestones........ groan.

Beautiful - have you done any "tweaking" to the sky here?
Epic Ebdon - 05/Apr/08
To be honest this doesn't look that great compared to the warmth and colours of the original slide. No tweaking, just a scan to match the original, funny how people naturally suspect tweaking on a half decent shot.

Sorry - no offense intended! I was just so impressed at what looked like such a massive dynamic range! See it as a compliment....
Epic Ebdon - 06/Apr/08
Don't worry about it I'm not offended in the slightest. The camera I use can vary the exposure as it rotates; hence the correct exposure for the sun (which also causes the darkening of the clouds and snow around the sun)and correct exposure for the much softer light in the rest of the sky, this results in the massive dynamic range you've noted.

I shall be going here when I move back from Aberdeen! Just out of interest at what time of day ,around about, as I reckon you probably don't have a filing cabinet memory, was this taken? Looks like it could be a good winter venue for us.
