Is this as easy as it looks?
Jamie B - 24/Sep/08
Yes it is. Itís a mod, but a unique climb. Itís a fossilised sea bead tilted at an angle. Thereís not much protection and belays are not easy to find. Worth a go at if you are in the area.

This just looks fantastic.
We're heading up to Filiast on Saturday all being well.

Would this route go as a solo climb? interested in climbing in filiast but partner uninterested/put off by height. Thanks

Climbed this in a party of 3; one experienced climber leading, solo, and setting up the belays.
It is very do-able solo, another pair did this while we were there. Just unnerving should you slip - long way down, pointy boulders and rocks at the bottom.
Thoroughly enjoyable climb; icey walk back to the car through Devil's kitchen with only one working headtorch, not so fun.
