Notes
Established in 1944 the KMC is centrally based Manchester mountaineering and rock climbing club. We are an active club, with regular outdoor meets nearly every weekend throughout the year. We generally go rock climbing during the summer, with walking, scrambling and winter mountaineering during the cooler months. We also run a number of meets through the year to specifically to welcome new members. Please view the website for the clubs full calendar of events.

The KMC also owns a superb Mountain Hut "Ty Powdwr" in Snowdonia which maintains an exclusive dormitory for club members. Accommodation in this hut is also available for use by mountaineering clubs, schools and similar groups, please see the club website for availability and booking.
