We have one of the best selections of technical footwear in the UK from approach shoes to expedition boots, from a variety of brands including Scarpa, Boreal, La Sportiva and Millet. We are one of the few UK retailers to always carry a full size roll of 8000m+ footwear, including half sizes!

We pride ourselves on our knowledgeable staff who can suit product to purpose for any activity, whether it is trekking in the Alps or summiting Everest whilst relating to personal experience.

Our flagship store not only houses some of the best outdoor kit currently available, it is also home to the Ambleside Climbing Wall and Cafe Altitude which overlooks the surrounding Lake District fells. It is also the place where you can talk face to face with someone about any of our trips.
