Overview

The Centre closed in June 2011 for an £19.5million redevelopment and the Climbing Wall was removed from the facilities/activities we provide.

Definitely Closed and will not be reopening.

The holds have now been resurfaced to make give them more friction. Good training wall, some excellent problems on the numbered overhanging wall. More suited to bouldering than top-ropes, although bars are in plaxce above very section to facilitate roped climbing.

not a suitable wall for beginners to climb , unless wearing the appropriate equipment , The wall is slippy and only feature's , you need a experienced climber to climb up the wall to set your rope's up , a miniture overhang a bouldering section and mainly vertical walls , theres a chimney on the right hand side of the door as you walk in , I'd rather travel them few extra miles and go to Rock Antics in Newton Aycliffe
