Rock insert, bolt-ons and moulded concrete bouldering wall with roof and overhang, 7m high by 8m in dedicated building, by DR, built 1987.Done out with heating, better matting and re opened in 1998. No gear hire. Plenty of routes set by local climbers. [09/09]

Golden Rule is just down the road a proper old lakes pub. For those who want to stay up late theres always the sportsman which is open downstairs till 2.00am.(Depends how much you enjoy having your feet stuck to the floor though!!)

USER FEEDBACK Login as Existing User to add your comments We now have a dedicated route book for the steep section of the wall and local climbers such as dave birkitt have been setting routes with grades ranging from english 4a - 6c+. dinkysja - 01/Oct/09 Relativly good wall, though there are no official set routes. The students have set their own routes tho there isnt any record or grading for them. Although a friendly atmosphere aslong as you don't mind the students tho dave birkett has been know to make the odd apearence, highly recomended place if its raining in the lakes(which happens quite often unfortunatly). lewk_c - 30/Jun/06
