Free registration on first visit. Entry fee Non-member £8.50. Annual membership £25, reduces entrance fee to £6 off-peak and £7 peak plus 10% shop discount. Under 18's, 60+ and Concessions get discounts starting from £4

Over 1200 sq m of wall surface. Leading, top roping and bouldering. Tallest wall in England. Walls up to 25m high. Shop, Cafe, showers, changing rooms, indoor and outdoor instruction courses, gear hire, meeting rooms, training room.

Roped walls:

Main Hall - 52 lines from 10 to 25m, all angles and styles catered for, lots of techy 18 metre multi-faceted vertical climbing on the King Kong wall and everything from juggy 6a's to meaty 7c's and routes up to 8a+ on our 25m main wall. Two auto belay devices with regular new routes.

Chamber - 17 lines for top roping and leading at more modest grades up to 7 metres.

Bouldering walls:

Three dedicated rooms including; the Marmot Loft, our huge top floor bouldering hall; the Green Room; and the Den, family-friendly bouldering for beginners to intermediates. Font style circuits in all rooms with regular problem changes throughout the year and bouldering ladder from October to March.

The Marmot Loft also has a 40 degree Moon Board, large 15 degree circuit board and huge 70 degree 10 metre routing roof with rising mat!

Additional Facilities:

Training Room - range of conditioning equipment as well as a 30 degree woody with a range of beastmaker holds and Chris Plant specials. 15 degree system board, campus boards, 3 different fingerboards, rock rings plus a range of pulleys and accessories to vary your training.

La Sportiva Room - conference facilites that can be hired for events and external groups. Catering and AV equipment available.

Creamery Cafe - serving fresh sandwiches, hot soup, award-winning cakes and a range of hot drinks including unbelievably good coffee.

Kendal Wall Shop - largest range of climbing shoes in Cumbria and all the equipment you need.

At the Lakeland Climbing Centre route setting is our highest priority. Our Setters include Chris Plant, Ian Vickers, George Ullrich, Robbie Phillips, James Garden, Max Biden, John and Stella Adams, Jon and Ben Freeman, Liam Lonsdale, Dave Nicholl plus our excellent in house team.

Directions
Driving directions to Kendal Wall, Lakeland Climbing Centre with Google
Leave Kendal's one-way system and take the A6 road to Shap and Penrith; as you're reaching the edge of Kendal you'll see Morrison's supermarket and petrol station off to the right and the turning to the Climbing Centre will be on your left. It occupies a huge white industrial building that's clearly visible from miles away. Ample parking right outside, easy walk from town centre (20 mins), railway station (10 mins) etc.
