With over 400m2 of climbing surfaces, and well over 100 routes at any time ranging from our easy green circuit to v11 (see grading page if not familiar with V grades), the Arch Climbing Wall is known for consistent good routesetting. With world class routesetters including Andy Earl, Johnny Dawes, Gaz Parry, Neil Gresham, Tyler Landman and James Pearson, and our resident routesetters Yann Genoux and Clement Bayetti, our routes are changed more frequently than any other climbing wall we know of!
We also have a dedicated stretching area with mats and a fit ball, a -30 degree training board with numbered holds and an open ‘problem book’, a hardcore campus board with small, medium and large wood-grip rungs, a counterweight system for assisted pull-ups, and a fingerboard with grip-taped pinches underneath for assisted one-arm work.
We have full changing and locker facilities, individual shower cubicles for men and women, and WCs. The Arch Climbing Wall is disabled access friendly as well.
We also have our own café serving a full range of organic & fair-trade coffees and teas, cold drinks from behind the reception, as well as home-made cookies, cereal bars and organic fruit. These can be enjoyed upstairs in the mezzanine area overlooking the back area, with sofas, hanging chair and tables.
