Covers the vast expanse of the Far North from Strath Farrar to Shetland, including seas cliffs, mountain crags and outcrops.

Still uses the old Scottish Winter Grading system - that is ceiling of grade VI - so don't be suprised if a few of the winter grades are harder than they are given.

Some of the more obscure routes on remote crags are unlikely to have had second ascents - so be wary.

The guide is also nearly 10 years old - updates can be found at the SMC Web site.

It is delibrately terse in some areas - to promote the spirt of adventure that a mountaineer should have when visiting the Northern Higlands.
