If I understood correctly, rockfall had changed the line where the ridge should gained, so had a little unsure start on rotten rock on the first rock pitches. But after this, it's lovely climbing on quality rock all the way to the top.

Missed exit from couloir descending from below point 3103m. We used aid to gain couloir which was devoid of snow & running with water. Paul had seen "shortcut" off from below traversed lose ledges & then rappelled off 55m cliff to glacier with 50m of rope!
