On a pretty cold day, felt pretty solid on it even though it was my first route of the day and my fingers were cold. Went direct on the mantle, not so bad if you build your feet high. Left it a little late to do this, should have done it at the beginning of the Summer!

An absolute battle. I onsighted 'Left' a few months ago but didn't get to try this as it started raining. Stupidly jumped on this as first climb of the day with no warm-up and in thick fog (could barely see the top from the ground). Foot slipped and popped off at about mid-height, lowered off, pulled the rope through and jumped straight back on. Got pumped out of my mind and had to rest on the gear just below the final push over the top. At least I did the belly-flop finish though (which was HARD [and damp]).

great climb that is sustained all the way to the last hand hold. I started off thinking it is nice and juggy but there was no resting. every meter higher your rewarded with a dull ache of the pump, until the final struggle into a bellyflop. I will climb this again,again,again.

Foot slipped on layback, but held on. Got my hand on the very top to find a distressing lack of holds (after a surprisingly pumpy cilmb), down climbed to last bit of gear and rested on it. Faffed then manned up and just barely managed to drag myself over the top without over balancing.

The poor flake is looking very tatty compared to when I seconded this 20 years ago. It seems a lot easier leading than it was seconding - probably because you feel more in control of time as a leader and take that time to pause, place gear and shake out. The topout was fine once I found a couple of crimps.

WOW! I was so pumped near the the top that I ran it out in hope of a good jam to get some gear in. I swear I thought I was gonna die (especially when my foot slipped) Having got to the final overhang I didn't even have strength to get any of the right sized gear on the R side of my harness and desperatlty wedged in a cam that was about 2 size too big before the stylish belly flop finish. Truely unforgetable!!!

Pumpier than I imagined. To call the 'rest' a rest is a bit optimistic. An exercise in laybacking, dont hang around contemplating the moves. And you need at least quarter of a tank for the top out. Think I'll leave The Rasp till later in the season.

A fun start silly start followed by a beautiful vertical flake type crack. Grip with hands and wide footholds. Pumped out the arms again as I wasn't doing enough work with feet, but felt good. Did sit on the rope to remove (another) stuck cam, but I'm still calling in O/S because thats how it felt. That said, Dans 'labelling' of the holds with copious chalk did help...
