The Last Viking) The first route done on the cliff tackles the steepest central portion. The route can be extended by starting up Johan Boyer though the normal start is reached by walking to the left end of the Terrace from The Island. 1) 5, 20m. Head up to a belay at the base of the fairly prominent left-facing dihedral just to the left of the Stone Sausage, the reddish bulging pillar near the cliff’s centre. 2) 6, 45m. Climb up the corner system in a long pitch, moving left around a roof at the top via a few thin moves. Continue and belay at the top of a short crack. 3) 5, 25m. Follow another crack, cross a slab rightwards and finish up the big right-trending groove. © ROCKFAX
