The roof section is easier than it looks from the ground. Easy to foot traverse the crack whilst putting hands in the top shelf. After that it's relatively easy with the odd pause to figure balance & layback sequence.

An interesting climb - definately easy in the grade, but didn't appreciate the sun in my eyes as trying to find way from the start through the roof and out to the crack. Still need to work on spotting placements on grit - breaks and twists you out of expectation to look for nuts and leads to relying upon cams... not the only way to protect.

Fantastic! This climb ruined my life in 1992 when I had a total epic on it 'cos I didn't have anything big enough to protect the crux, and it was roasting, greasy and slippery. I've lived in fear of it ever since, and was dreading going back on it. But armed with a friend 4, it was no great drama! And a great route it is.

Initial corner and traverse cannot be protected without making life difficult later on. Big gear is a bonus for the wide crack above, but a sling and smaller cam placements will suffice. did I mention it's a lovely route?

Lovely exposed climb. Really enjoyed the exiting of the cave and then the crack. Still pretty sustained even out of the cave, but great if you've got massive hexes and friends, which thankfully I did, oh and extended slings / quickdraws and or a second rope.

A repeat of this great route! Much more confident this time I think, last time I totally lashed it with gear after every mode. Guidebook says it all, intimitating but easy for the grade. Only problem is trying to get gear in whilst not losing balance on these slopers. I would imagine it being much easier for a second who wasnt scared of plummiting downwards! Brother (hartke) and Dad (pog100) followed with relative ease. First time using double ropes, got them a little twisted but I shall learn soon enough! Great route - deffo top 50

As the guidebook says, intimidating but mild. Was pretty scared all the way up, despite placing gear after every two moves, can't trust myself on those slopers! Used up all my big gear (3 of my biggest cams, and 5 of my biggest hexes!). Bomber protection and would recommend it to anyone pushing their grade!
