Rockfax Description
Very bold friction climbing up the arete left of North Climb with gear at just below half-height. Sadly the upper crux is avoidable. © ROCKFAX

Second E6. Absolutely brilliant technical slab climbing, and you really wouldn't want to fall off the top! Elated.

two moves from the top, very doable with the right mind set and a fast belayer

I could do the 6a bit - it's the E6 part that would be way beyond my warm happy zone.

Fell off the crux move. Hand greased of the rubbish slopey crimp. Also partly blame wearing a helmet as I kept bashing it on the slab. Stopped about 1.5m from ground and didn't hit anything on the way down.
Oli - Lead dnf - 02/Dec/06 with Lee

After the other climbs on sunset slab confidence drove me to this. With my cloak of invinsibility I scuttled on up. There would have been some gripping moves well above the gear, except there was nothing to grip onto. Slopey smeary stuff does return to normality as ground-fall height is reached. At the top, my cloak was in tatters so time to return to the 'day job' of the lower grades.

RP attempt. Before I could place gear -- thought I may as well solo it. Foot slid about on some ball-bearings and I bottled it!

Very Cold Day. Lots of snow on ground
