1100m. Nice intro to Rum rock following S Ridge from Rest House Campsite. About 1km with some grade 2 mod/diff scrambling. Good views of E Face of Jebel Rum, especially the Dark Tower and Black Magic. From summit continue at similar grade N then E to re-enter the valley at its head.

The North Ridge is a Grade 2** scramble (as per Tony Howard guidebooks). Nice scrambling in a great situation. Didn't bother climbing the summit boulder. Descended down the South side.
