Mark Kemball - TR - 30/May/13 with Solly Kemball Dorey, Dave Hall, John Jefferies
happy about this even if it was a TR. Felt out of balance on quite a few moves, only just held it on the crux, so very glad I wasn't on the pointy end!

Isn't too bad if you have a belayer who runs/jumps off to the left if the leader falls, i did just this when John fell off quite high on the route and he stopped at the chockstone. Think i ended up falling further then him :).

I say lead. I was by myself. I tied the rope with a figure of eight to the only runner and then to myself with enough slack to get to the top.
I realised high up it was getting harder, but the moves were irreversible. I contemplated just jumping on to the gear, before I got much higher, but realised it may not hold. I climbed on in a daze and everything came together, my feet stuck and I found myself at the top of my first E5. - Me thinks it was this 'zone' people speak of. The rope came tight and I had to untie to top out.
I need to get some friends, good route though.:-)
- mike popped by earlier.

used the chockstone - not sure if its allowed.
Quite nice but any difficulty is very short lived.
