According to Rockfax (2001) guide this is "a safe first VS lead". I can only say that there must be some disheartened VS aspirants out there because I felt this route has some very tough moves on fist jams to vercome the bulge. The jug you are aiming for moves alarmingly!

For big folk the trick seems to be to get your right foot as high up the diagonal crack as possible, your left foot somewhere up on the blank wall and then to reach up high in the back of the crack for the jug on the top of the rocking block and then go for it.

Brilliant friction day - ie. really cold! One of those climbs that convinces me why I enjoy climbing. Up to crux I was certainly not in the mood; cold, shoes hurting, intimidated. After I made the crux, ecstatic and would not have wanted to be doing anytything else in the world!
