UKC Logbook Description
Much longer than described in the guidebook. It is 10 pitches long, belaying at each lower off chain. The last pitch is much harder than the rest of the route. About Fr3 upto pitch 9. Pitch 9 is about f4, the last pitch is an awkward f6a+.

All the way to the top, 4 long pitches then the last steeper one on its own. Top pitch is probably only 6a, and the hard bit could be bypassed by pulling on the well placed bolts to give a great easier outing. Took about 2 hours up and down.

Not expecting it to top out so took no shoes for walking out and didn't fancy descent in hot swollen rock shoe clad feet. Abbed off top of pitch 10. Met some kid goats on the way down. Great route with the best bits as a reward at the end!

Juan S 24/Mar AltLd

Lovely 10 pitch climb with a short easy grade 3 scramble to get to the top of the ridge. Really well bolted, pleasure to climb. With a 60m rope we linked pitches 1&2 (Wei) and 3&4 (me) together. Did 5 (wei) on its own. Tried to link 6&7 (me) but ran out of rope - set up a belay on a spike 10m from the end of the pitch. Wei led p8, I led the last two pitches. Really lovely easy climbing (walking at points) p1 to 7. p8 is grade 5, p9 grade 6a and p10 has a couple of moves of easy 6b which could be aided if needed. Descent: walk down and right (as you look down your path down) until you get to a col with a path down to escalera arabe.

Easy to pitch 9, this is a 6a in the local book and i'd agree. Pitch 10 is a 6b+ (!) in the local book, probably a bit over graded i'd say a few moves of solid 6b - would be harder if I hadn't chucked in a heel hook at the start. Lovely climb - did to pitch 8 twice - first time we ran out of light and abbed down in the dark - total ball ache. Walking off is much easier!

Fun climb, 2 or 3 moves of 6a+ above the belay on p10. The rest is 5 or lower. Walk off down to the Arab Steps for a nice outing. I wouldn't recommend abseiling because it would be awkward. We ran the pitches together until p9. This works well on a 70m rope. I led p1&2, 5&6, 9, 10.

This is a fantastic route. Did this is 5 pitches. All the climbings in the last two pitches which are pretty hard especially the first move of the 6a+ pitch but nothing major. The first 8 are just really enjoyable. Scramble up the ridge to the very top and enjoy the views, we hung out for an hour or so and it's totally worth it.

Nice route. Ok on 70m rope linking pitches in pairs, p1-7 very easy, p8 lovely maybe F5, p9 and 10 little harder done individually, as others say move off belay at start p10 is tricky. Top p11 is just a scramble to bolts on the ridge. Take in the summit then walk down the back to the left to reach a path which leads to Arab Steps area.

A great route with amazing views that just get better and better until you’re even higher than the vultures!! Some of the pitches are much easier than those given, some are like scrambling really and all are on pretty good quality rock, apart from the 6a pitch which is pretty scrappy. Took us around 3.5 hours to ascend and 45 mins walking off back to bags.

Excellent route. Did it in 6 pitches with an 80 metre rope. Last pitch significantly harder, but there are enough bolts there to step in slings and get over the crux easily. We scrambled up to the top of the mountain (great views) and then walked down (leftwards) easily and quickly. Didn't take food/water, just our walking shoes. Got up and down in about 2.5 hrs.

I really underestimated this after reading the Rockfax description. The move off the belay on the final pitch is really quite hard (UKC reckons 6a+ which sounds about right to me). There are loads of pitches. We abseiled off in the dark. But it was great fun ... just much more involved than expected ... glad I had a head torch with me!
