This climb is in 16 logbooks, and on 2 wishlists.
Well named, very dirty but Excellent. Led all pitches after Jim backed off the first.
-P1- felt 5b to pass the arête with poor gear but much easier across the slab, poor and dirty despite a quick clean on abseil.
-P2- The climbing starts to get much better but felt 5c on more lichenous holds and big swing potential glad to get clean. Topo line is wrong in rockfax and BMC guides hands should traverse the break above. Also cleaned a bit on abseil but not enough.
-P3- Excellent, would be a great pitch in its own right by starting up Cave Climb. Much cleaner than the other pitches but took a small fall after my foot slipped on lichenous smears (should have cleaned this pitch too). Was not possible to get back on route so swung right and up to the belay and started the pitch completely again and did clean. Probably be back sometime just to do this pitch again as is ACE!! Graeme Hammond - Lead RP - 28/May/12 with Jim
