The rounded arete provides an excellent little route now the cloaking birch has been pruned. Approach the rib via a wide diagonal crack. Above this there is one fierce pull (small wires) before it eases to fine climbing up the rib. © Rockfax

Good route, bad idea to warm up on it. was also bloody hot!

Stinking hot. Found the move up to the wire much harder than the one above it. Not sure if this was because I was sweating like a bastard, or because I didn't step on the tree stump. Felt much stiffer than FFE or FH.

Nice route, pretty steady. Weird upward pointing cam was a little disconcerting.

Good effort by Mark in the roasting heat.
didn't have a small enough master cam for the chalked up pocket so I had so smash a number 6 dragon left of the tree, sketchfest.

Not sure if is cricket but I stood on the tree trunk. Still felt like a really nice route. Might have to do it again without...

Could not workout the sequence.Happy with gear but felt hard how I tried it.
Small wire is still there and pretty good.

Slipped off crux on first go, went for it before sorting out the move properly

Some hard moves going on! Saved it for end of the day which was probably a mistake. Anyway, glad to pull it off, cos at one point protection was - Nada!
used the tree for my feet, bad?ethics?? pleasant unsustained climbing, easy E2 easy 5c

Small nut placement is no more, unless I was being a wally. Take a selection of C3s or it might be a monster run out from the tree. Fantastic route and surely only two stars because every other route here is a classic.
with a lot of beta from Pete about the moves and gear placements.still took ages to do.

Fell off on the first tricky move going up to the tree due to missing the obvious sequence (d'oh!), then fell off on the last hard move going up the arete due to not getting a foot placement right - was straightforward on the second go, how annoying! The tree has been felled.
