L'Epée de Damocles*** 6c
35m. This was the first route on the wall and was always the best. Even better now following its re-equipment and extension into the top of Guillotine. Stop at the first belay for a 6b+ tick.

Third go. Very hard. I won't list all the excuses here (even the valid ones) but in terms of effort it was comparable to any 7b I've done.

Excellent route, all the way to the top. On James' draws (with some fiddling round to extend the roof ones) but with no beta. Intricate lower wall, with one hard section, then a rest followed by a really hard move once above the roof. I spoke to a local who said he thought it was 7a. Superb regardless.

with the extension. Hard!

Finally a year later. The hardest and possibly the best 6c in the world! Did it to Guillotine lower off. Very long
