Rockfax Description
Another scary route suffering from a chronic lack of attention. The initial wall and bulge has poor gear. Above that it is around E2 5c. Cross Armageddon and climb direct until forced into Windhover by the ivy. © Rockfax

FA. Tom Proctor, A.Dawson 1971. An impressive ascent for the time.

Ticklists: Peak Rock/10/White Life.

A hard pull up into the pocket/side pull thing at the bottom of the flake bit of a reach for a shorty - some mention of a 0.5 friend in the BMC guide did not see it unless it was in one of the pockets/slots used for hands. In which case you are better reaching for the top and side of flake. The wall above had some gear on which was good basically it backs up a peg, up to that point there is nothing really. The roof and top wall is ok with good gear. First E4 since 1997 whoop whoop

A worrying start. A 0.5 friend seems to hold when pulled but dont test it properly. Committing moves gain the superb upper wall
