Over two days with one uncomfortable bivy in the wall. Cannot recommend this route in summer. It's not much but a difficult pile of choss. Wouldn't give any pitch a single star, but the overall experience was pretty mega. https://someaverageclimbing.wordpress.com/2016/09/01/chamonix-part-i-eperon-croz-ed1-grandes-jorasses-north-face/

Walked in on 31 Oct and bivied just after first steep pitch. Lots of moving together as 2 ropes of 2 on grade3/4 stuff with few harder pitches thrown in. Got to crux as Steves crampons started falling apart and darkness fell so completed as rope of 4. Long descent, more crampon failures, stone fall, hard ice, lost the way-so another bivi out before completing descent into Italy on 2 Nov. P Prentice and L Yule, S Lynch and P Smith

Pretty wintry for August. Top runnels were super thin, otherwise good mixed conditions. Made if up and over, and kipped for a bit on the way down
