[First Winter Climb, 2 kb]follows a completely different line to the winter route of the same name, as far as I can see, as it is on the buttress to the right of the broad gully. a bit disjointed.

I think we went a bit off route a couple of times. Some small sections/moves definitely felt more like grade 4. We had a good time on the route though.

Meant to do Left Branch, but the topo is poor! Mix of powder snow and some nicely consolidated snow. It started drizzling as we finished the day. Could do with a little more snow in places.

Scrambled up Whiteside Gill to get to Brown Cove crag (grade 1 with a fun (damp) optional grade 3 bit between to falls). Both make a pleasant summer scramble with plenty of options to make it easier or harder.
