At first chockstone the left wall was dry despite extensive ice lower down the mountain. I managed to tentatively pull up to a thin rotten runnel of ice to the side of the chockstone which was just not solid enough to pull up on. Gave up after 2 falls and continued on up Great gully. Would definitely 'go' if a bit more ice.

Absolutely amazing! Climbed two pitches up the Direct Finish, but retreated back to the fork to finish up the normal route, which was no push over. Took left hand finish.

A brilliant route that doesn't let up. I was lucky not to fall on the lead on the second chockstone pitch as one axe ripped while I had all my weight on it and landed on the handle of the other which was fortunately well-wedged.
