Great afternoon out with Becky's parents + friends Ed and Chris. Trailled a rope on the harder bits and the 'Diff finish' for some off the group. Some tricky sections with slimy wet rock. Bailed out at the bridge.

Also with Chris & Ed in tow. Soloed everything except the Diff pitch (seconded with a bowline round the waist - very traditional!). Good fun: would be great when dry.

Fantastic place, wondeful long series of ever-increasing scrambles, only final wall defeated us (no rope). Gill was wet & slippy, but virtually no water running through it, almost dry riverbed.

Snowed up rock. Top pitch covered in verglas. chickened out of soloing this half way the last steep bit - had a handy top rope thrown down. would need curious conditions to be in proper winter nic.

Michelle's first experience of climbing and a good place to get started. Most of the scrambling is easy and made for good ground to mess around with ropework. There's an interesting corner and a few steep steps. The final diff pitch gave a good taste of easy rock climbing. Overall, a very nice short trip out and a novelty to be scrambling in Yorkshire.

Fantastic winter's day out and highly recommended. While cold and wet the levels of water were only a significant problem on the crux headwall (ducking under the waterfall gave us a healthy soking).

Was lovely and dry when we set off and then all of a sudden you heard it before you saw it, massive flood pulse came roaring down over the pitches into a waterfall. Was up to our shins within a minute. Was great fun! Assisted handline used at the bridge
