There was no stench when we went today. I think it comes and goes. Good crag for beginners like me, easy to walk round to the top and plenty of trees to anchor a top rope from. Pegs admittedly dont inspire a lot of confidence, but your not gonna take a fall big enough to have any problems on this climb, and the rest of the crag has nice bolts.

Ran away from crag on completion due to the stench of a torrent of effluent from the castle when we were half way up. The staples are a little bendy to inspire confidence too. Not recommended.
