The hardest of the trio. Start by going left via an undercut pocket, then traverse right before breaking back out left to a boulder problem to gain the niche. Then climb the wall before heading out left to finish on the scarily-thin jug. © Rockfax

Very pumpy second half, only just enough gas left for the final move to the flake.
One go on TR, found crux very very tough.

After 5 days of climbing this week I didn't quite have the juice to finish this off. Top moves are quite blind and blew on 1st RP and no gas for another go. Now I've figured a sequence it should be grand on the return.
decided to give it a go after a complete failure on armistice day, pretty powerful moves but really good, now just to get better stamina...

Got horrendously pumped trying to onsight this. Got even more pumped when I did it. Pretty desperate for 7a+

Did it after failing on the end four times this year. First attempt today I fell off reaching for the penultimate hold below the jug and fell half the length of the crag. Got it second go today, felt pumpy.
Top afternoon with arkleator. Missed on-site in early 90s and tonight. 1st rp.

Nails bouldery move into undercuts.
Warm up today felt ok

Hard passing the fourth to final bolt. Next time hopefully.

cocked up the flash my missing the jug by the chains getting a sloper and taking the whipper. went 2nd go though I felt I used a rubbish sequence which wasn't really 3 stars for me.

One very hard move low-ish, with a slightly exciting finish. Could be a height issue... or not? Maybe one to go back for.

No guide book, looked ok, so gave it a bash.

1 fall right at the top, pumpy!
|Somerset swede basher||01/Oct/14||Lead β||
Continuous beta stream from Brian so never felt too desperate.
Way hard! Easily 7b. Run out at the top is quite thrilling.
|Qisheng Xie||27/Sep/14||Lead RP||
3 cruxes linked together in a great route. Felt hard for the grade.
|Matt Fry||28/Aug/14||Lead O/S||
Pleased to get this onsight - not expected, certainly not at the top!
Great pumpy line

Just went up at the end of the day to do one more route. Everyone this year has been using a different sequence than i did and the slopers were filthy.
|James Oswald||13/Aug/14||Lead dog||
Fell off four times on lead, I'll be back...

A reasonable effort on this until the top, fifth day on my arms weren't up to the task!

Fell of very last move from dirty sloped to finishing hold- literally 10 mm! On onsight. Really fun, good muggy climbing.

Still pretty filthy. Cleaned it up a little then did it second go on the least-deserved and worst-climbed redpoint ever. Probably a really good route when it's clean.

7b apparently due to lost hold, think I'd agree!

The demise of the small undercut above the second flake hasn't made much difference to the difficulty, although that move has changed completely. Pleased to get this today.

good climbing, just a bit too hard for me at the moment. Might get it after more session on it though.
|Chi Cheng||11/Jul/11||Lead RP||
been told theres a undercut missing now on the cruz section but i dont how easy or hard it was before but boy its tough going but still fairly cool the guide book notes are right dont use the flakes makes it harder.

Year a guess
First ascent. The route used to end at the lower off at the top of the crag which provided a bit of spice. Now it seems to have been neutered, which is a shame.
