90m. Second of 2 routes -the first being 'Slither' which is further along the scarp to the North
From the stepping stone's car park take the left hand public footpath which takes you to a bridge crossing the river Mole. Instead of following the footpath, turn left on a rarely trodden footpath taking you into the woodland. Once the path becomes unwalkable, begin an upward ascent of the steep river cliff using primarily roots for handholds and chalk rock for foot holds. After 80-90 metres of ascent the gradient should level out and you will have reached the spur of Box Hill.
