Mark led pitchs 1+3 and I did 2. Very good climbing all the way up! No protection for the top half of the chimney on pitch two which made me hang around for a while but found the climbing okay once I committed although dont think I climed with any style! Found rope drag a problem on pitch 2 as it wonders about quite a bit. Pitch 3 is hard at the start but eases.

Hard for grade. pitch 1 ok, pitch 2 a tough off-width crack without much gear. pitch 3 hard start then eases. All holds are there though and rock feels solid (for slate)

a really hard walk in across the slate scree. started climbing at about 7 pm. i was half way up and a helicopter was at the same level as me got back to the car in the dark another late finish with dad.
