60m. Black Adder) The big forbidding groove that bounds the left side of main section of the face gives an atmospheric outing. 1) 5, 30m. Start up the arete but move out left and climb past an overlap onto a small stance below the upper chimney. 2) 6, 30m. Climb right of the crack then move left into the awkward leaning groove. Up this as it widens awkwardly until the finger-crack in the slab can be reached for a pleasanter finish. © ROCKFAX
