Utterly brilliant route, my favourite lead of the trip. Fantastic holds just keep on coming, with just-about-adequate protection. Probably about HS 4a. Mildly traumatic descent - I lowered C then tied the ropes together and she tied off one end so I could do the free-hanging abseil down the back.

Easy on second, scary for the leader. TAKE CAMS!!! Awesome views from the top! Need some balls for the abseil...

The name of this climbing is South Edge Direct Start. Good climb in a cool setting with the main novelty being how to get off.

What an experience that was. Had a nightmare getting off the top. Be very careful of where you decide to anchor your rope at the bottom as the top of the pinaccle slopes off to the south and there's not much to stop the ab rope slipping off the side. Fantastic climbing though. Would be a classic if it was anywhere else.
