From the top of the pillar to the lower off seemed stiff for the grade. Clipping the bolt above the pillar is not fun with the potential of an ankle snapping fall back to the ledge.

A good warm down.

This felt completly differant to previous times I had climbed the route. It was in the shade to start with and the crack was a little damp which did not help. First time was leading and only clipped first two bolts. Andy and Graham got no further. Next attempt clipped the next two bolts and climbed up to the mantle but had run out of stream so could not get on it. Final time was on a top rope set up by a very kind South African who was built like a brick S**thouse. This time loved it, found a couple of really good moves that helped including getting my right foot high in the crack and just pushing up to grab the bomber hold a couple of feet above the mantle shelf which allowed me to just step up.

Really don't rate this climb. For me it sums up the worst of Portland at the lower grades. Dirty, polished, (dirty AND polished!) bolting badly thought out. Simply wouldn't want to climb this if there were better routes in the area at the same grade.

6B to LO. Crack up to a slopey, muddy ledge. Really commiting above final bolt. Means coming off ledge - tricky at the best of times! Very balancey final move. When first started climbing, really scared myself on this. Got to ledge, looked down, and froze! Pleased that was able to overcome this.

Watched Nic bolt this (and drop his drill!) whilst climbing on the slab, climbed it soon after. Start's lost a few holds since but it's still great.
